PISCATAWAY, NJ (November 05, 2019) – OM Group is excited to see that the long-awaited Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) contract has been awarded by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
“This $10 billion contract award will make the National Defense Strategy a reality for our warfighters, helping them be faster and more effective in their efforts to keep America safe,” OM Group President Sowmya Hariharan said. “OM Group is a Gold Partner with Microsoft, the JEDI contract awardee, and has collaborated with the Microsoft Azure Cloud team since October 2017, when we started migrating Headquarters, Department of Army workloads from Pentagon Joint Service Provider (JSP) datacenter to Azure. ”

As a prime vendor on the Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation (ACCENT) contract vehicle, OM Group has significant experience with Microsoft’s Azure cloud. Awarded one of the first ACCENT task orders, they have already begun successful performance in support of the transition of over 80 applications and systems at Impact Levels 2, 4 and 5 for HQ Department of the Army.
In addition, OM Group’s current work supporting the US Army Corps of Engineers covers transitioning Impact Level 4 enterprise applications from the USACE on premise datacenter to Microsoft Azure cloud; establishing a DevOps process from scratch to automate build/deploy process and facilitate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) to the cloud.
